The Republic of The Sohnland including its provinces or otherwise known as Cantons are bound by the Sohnlandic constitution. However, the Soarland River Protectorate is tacitly allowed a degree of autonomy from the central government based in Carnifron City.

Civil Protection Act

The Civil Protection Act is aimed to protect Sohnlandic citizens from the dangers of the internet by restricting access to certain websites for those under 18 years of age or younger, with more restrictions on those 16 years of age or younger. Websites that are of an explicit nature or encourage the use of micro transactions and gambling are prohibited entirely. The act introduces establishes law based on code of conduct, maintaining public decency and order.

The Civil Protection Act also aims to implement a social credit system that aims to reward admirable behaviour and penalise unwanted behaviour amongst citizens. Social credit points can be added and taken away without trial and will affect access to government services and institutions.
