Dovedon City or simply Dovedon for short, is the capital city of the Republic of The Sohnland and seat of power of the Sohnlandic government.
Etymology
The origins of the exact etymology of Dovedon City's name is a mystery in time immemorial. Theories suggest that Dovedon got its name from an old Sohnlandic naming system. What is for certain is that doves played no role in the historical etymology of the city.
History
Dovedon was always the de jure capital of The Sohnland. However, from 26 July 2015 to 30 June 2023 the de facto capital city and seat of government was Carnifron City due to rebellion in Mainland Sohnland (Pigeonland).
Culture
Ever since the rebellion in the Mainland Sohnland (Pigeonland), what is known about the previous culture of Dovedon City is currently lost. With attempts to rebuild and the city on the way, this may change.
Administration
Dovedon City and is localities are directly administered by the Nationalist Party.
Localities
From 26 July 2015 to 30 June 2023, localities that were previously located in Dovedon City were relocated to Carnifron City. The process of migrating back to and rebuilding the city are still currently in the process.
