The President is the head of the executive power of the Republic of Vinland. His powers are delimited by the Constitution of the Republic of Vinland. The president is usually directly appointed by his predecessor, however in the event where the choice wasn't made, the new president will be elected by the citizens. While in office, the president is responsible for handling the country, guarding the institutions, and representing Vinland in the foreign affairs. If needed, the president can also assume the post of Speaker of the Congress of Vinland.
