History

The Navy Cross is a prestigious military distinction introduced on August 28, 2021, by the visionary Sovereign Lord Mayor of Ameristralia. This esteemed honour was proposed to the esteemed Municipal Assembly, who enthusiastically embraced the idea and officially approved the Navy Cross as one of the highest military awards in Ameristralia.

Originally, the Navy Cross featured the Ameristralian Coat of Arms, which remained in use from September 2021 to April 2022. However, as part of a comprehensive overhaul of Ameristralia's orders, decorations, and awards, significant design changes were implemented. In April 2022, a new design was unveiled, departing from the former Coat of Arms and adopting a fresh and unified visual identity across all decorations within Ameristralia's esteemed recognition system.

The Navy Cross was traditionally presented with a silver clasp attached to a distinguished ribbon. However, with the introduction of the new design, the medal underwent a remarkable transformation, both in its appearance and presentation.

This comprehensive revamp of Ameristralia's orders, decorations, and awards underscores the nation's unwavering commitment to honouring and celebrating the exceptional acts of bravery and valour demonstrated by its esteemed military personnel. The Navy Cross serves as a symbol of utmost respect, admiration, and gratitude for those who have exhibited extraordinary courage and selflessness in the face of danger. It stands as a timeless testament to the indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication of Ameristralian naval personnel.
