2024 Secretary General Election (EACO)

The 2024 Secretary General Election, was a ballot held from August 5th to August 6th 2024, in order to appoint the new Secretary General of the Euro-Atlantic Cooperation Organization.

Background

After its creation back in May 2023, the EACO was under the supervision of the Secretary General Gabriel Sebastian, of the Republic of Ethosia. However, due to personal matters, Gabriel Sebastian became unable to continue his mission as Secretary General of the Organization. effectively paralyzing the institutions. Thus, in order to relieve him from the pressure and to allow the institutions to resume their function, the General Assembly, in accordance with Gabriel Sebastian, decided to held new elections to appoint a new Secretary General.

Alaixaiy Braus was the only Representative of a member state to run for the position.

Results

Results of the elections to the post of Secretary General of the EACO for the year 2024.

On August 6th 2024, Alaixaiy Braus was elected as the new Secretary General with 100% of the votes expressed, (3 votes out of 3), and an abstention rate of 25%.
